WHAT GRINDS MY GEARS.

You know what really grinds my gears? School. It always gets in my way of working on my portfolio for art college and drawing in general. I mean, c'mon, we don't need school for 8 hours a day. School makes us tired and have less free time, so it causes stress and people get sick. If school started at 10 everyday, It would be better on our health, but no one understands that. I also wish I had another free art period where I could bring a laptop in and just draw all hour. That would be amazing.

Another thing that annoys me is that people always criticize me on what I draw. I have a reason why I draw the same characters over and over. I want to improve on them. How is that a bad thing? I have characters that I've created and I want to get them noticed, so why wouldn't I keep drawing them everywhere? Someone called my character a squirrel today. "Why do you draw so many squirrels ciera? Why is it always the same thing..." I just looked at him and sighed. It's a red panda with a mask. It's not even close to what a squirrel looks like. No one understands art obviously.

I just really wish I had more time to draw during the school year. I need to finish my art portfolio for college in the next couple mouths and I have no time to finish anything. I want to practice on backgrounds, painting, and line arting styles but I can't... I can only work on the traditional half of the portfolio, but that's not enough. And then when I get home from school, I'm always so exhausted, I take a nap for 3 hours and then do homework. I never have time to open up sai and just doodle at all. So pretty much, school is in the way of me doing the things I love and I hate it. Least I only have one more year left of school until I can have my own schedule for art college and more free time than I have now.
